LASIK is Right For Me?
A majority of people who meet the age and general health requirements are good candidates for LASIK, but only a thorough exam can tell if LASIK is right for you. Here are some general guidelines that can help you determine if you are a candidate for laser vision correction:
- You are at least 18 years old
- You must have stable vision for at least one year
- You must have healthy eyes as any condition that affects how well your eyes would heal after LASIK must be resolved prior to surgery
- You must have no signs of keratoconus or glaucoma
